Orders and execution

A market order seeks execution against available liquidity. The displayed price is not a guaranteed fill price. A limit order sets a price boundary and may rest, partially fill, or remain unfilled.

When Post only is offered, the intent is to add maker liquidity. An order that would immediately cross the market may be rejected. Check its final status; the label alone does not prove it was accepted.

Review Open orders, Order history, and Positions after submitting. Preparing, submitting and confirmed execution are separate states. Refresh or recover the existing request when uncertain, rather than submitting the same trade again.

Cancel removes the remaining unfilled part of a resting order. A fill can happen before cancellation completes. Check the final filled quantity and position.

Use Close on a position to reduce exposure. Closing can itself use a market or limit order where offered; a limit close is not immediately complete. A reduce-only order is intended to reduce an existing position, not open a reverse position.

Available order types depend on the build, market and account. Do not treat an unavailable TP/SL control as active protection.
